HNT: the vineyard farmers shall deliver the crop estimate by the end of August
The damage assessment of July’s hail has not yet completed at several wine regions, so the vineyard farmers shall deliver the crop estimate by 25 August, which will give a preview of this year’s expected quantities of wine – the interprofessional director of the Mountain Villages National Council (HNT) told M1 news channel on Wednesday.
Reiter Szilvia noted, however, that the amount of the crop is not only dependent on the weather.
She believes that this wine year, the grape harvest will not be as good as last year, when almost 3 million hectoliters of wine was produced in the country. (MTI)
