Aldi launches search for ‘official beer taster’ int he UK
Supermarket Aldi is searching for an ‘official beer taster’ to review its new range of beers, which is due to launch on 11 September.
The successful applicant will receive four pale ales, three IPAs, two beers, four ciders, one stout and one lager, all of which will need to be tasted and reviewed. The feedback will help to guide Aldi bosses ahead of key decision making for its next range.
Applicants will need to send an email to the company explaining why they should be chosen for the role, as well as outlining what their favourite Aldi beer is, and why.
Last year, NHS worker Emma Budd was chosen as the firm’s first official beer taster, impressing the judges with her application on why she loved beer, and how she had tried locally brewed products in 51 countries, including Antigua, Mykonos, and St Lucia.
Entries are open until Monday 21 August. The chosen winner will be selected by Friday 25 August with samples to follow for review.
