Shortage of buckwheat in Russia
Buckwheat disappeared from the shelves in a number of large food chains in Russia.
Buckwheat is the most popular basic material of several side dishes. Where it is still available, the price is fourfold or eightfold of the previous price. The price increase of buckwheat, is because of the poor cereal harvest.
According to experts; the situation is expected to improve in one, one and a half months. The new harvest will be released to the shops that time, but according to the traders; the new harvest will also be 35 percent more expensive – reports MTI.
