We like Hungarian products in vain
It seems difficult to carry out the goal that the proportion of imported foods should be reduced to 20 percent, on the shelves of the domestic stores. The share of import is 30 percent, compared to the former 10 percent, before the EU accession.
The new research of Ipsos shows that Hungarian consumers insist for Hungarian goods mainly for food; especially meat, sausages, milk and dairy products, fruit and vegetables.
According to the manufacturers; beside 2-3 foreign products only one Hungarian product appears as a substitute, which can partly be explained, that the large supermarket chains transport their remaining stocks of their parent companies to the Hungarian businesses – reports Világgazdaság Online.
