The Honey Festival in Gyula will be held during the weekend
The Honey and Gingerbread Festival will be held at the weekend in Gyula, where the Honey of the Year award will be also handed over.
Haász Ferenc, main organizer and president of the Békés County Beekeepers Association told MTI on Tuesday that the main purpose of the festival is the popularization of honey, since the foundation of the festival. The per capita domestic consumption of honey is an average of 70-80 decagrammes per year, in Hungary, while in Western –Europe 3.5-4 kilogrammes. (MTI)
