Wine Weeks from Monday in Balatonfüred
Almost three hundred wines from the thirty wine varieties of the wine region can be tasted by the visitors in Balatonfüred from Monday. The three-week event awaits the guests with concerts and spectacular stage shows in the evenings.
Mészáros József, a representative of the exhibiting winemakers told MTI that this year’s festival will start a week later than usual, since the winemakers can only put their houses on the Tagore Promenade after the Water World Cup’s equipment were removed.
This year’s event focuses on old Hungarian grape varieties, and they want to achieve the renaissance of the furmint, the horned lamb and the sheepfold – Mészáros József pointed out, adding that the new Hungarian breeds such as zenith and Cserszeg spicy will also be present. (MTI)
