Auchan Hungary targets 7% sales rise, network expansion for this year
The Hungarian subsidiary of French retail chain Auchan will keep expanding its network and operate a chain of 17-20 units within five to six years.
Last years revenue was HUF 193 billion, incriesing
by 4.1% yr/yr. chief executive Jean Paul Filliat told a press conference in
Budapest. Auchan Hungary would spend HUF 10 billion on investments this year,
mfor.hu has reported. The bulk of these projects will be land purchases, he
added. Auchan Hungary plans to open a new facility in the 18th district of
Budapest in the second half of 2008 and another one in Maglód in March 2009.
