Recession can end after seven quarters
According to the forecast of GKI Economic Research Co., made in cooperation with Erste Bank; Recession can end in the Hungarian economy in 2010.
In the middle of 2010, the international confidence towards the Hungarian economy will increase significantly. While the central bank's base rate decreased to 5.75 percent, from the former 9.5 percent, the rate fluctuates around 270 forint / euro, without major swings.
However, the recession is lasting since seven quarters, it can end in the Hungarian economy in the first quarter of 2010, two quarters later than in the European Union.
