We are still not closer to the EU average after seven years
According to preliminary datas of the European Union's statistical office in Hungary last year, the per capita GDP was the 63 percentn of the EU average.
his also means that Hungary – in one of the most important indicator of development – since 2003, was unable to approach the EU average living standards (The indicator’s value in the case of Hungary was 63.2 in 2003). In the ranking, reflecting on the living standard of the European countries, Luxembourg is the first with 268 percent, followed by Ireland and the Netherlands.
