Mountain Mania with Garfield, SPAR Everest Expedition with Dávid Klein

So far nearly 5,000 people have climbed 8848m high Mount Everest but hardly 200 managed to do it without using supplementary oxygen.

The SPAR Everest Expedition set off on 6 April: Hungarian climber Dávid Klein will attempt to reach the top of the world’s highest mountain without using supplementary oxygen. SPAR not only provides the financial background for the expedition but also helps the team with quality SPAR private label products. Dávid Klein will take the route up the North Ridge of Mount Everest. Since many external conditions influence the expedition’s success, SPAR’s funding doesn’t depend on reaching the top of Mount Everest. Parallel to the SPAR Everest Expedition the retail chain launches its fifth sticker collecting promotion: Mountain Mania will last from 3 April until 28 May and as usual its main figure will be Garfield. Four pages of the album are about Hungarian mountains and there are other Hungary- and Dávid Klein-related parts in it. Budapest Zoo’s spokesperson Zoltán Hanga supervised the creation of the album.
