Mountain villages: two million hectoliters of wine is expected this year
Around two million hectoliters of wine production is expected this year in Hungary, compared to the 2.5 million hectoliters of the past year – said Horváth Csaba, Secretary-General of the National Council of Wine Communities (HNT), in Budapest on Friday.
He added that the extreme weather affected the vineyards negatively. Therefore, the yield this year will be around 380 to 400 thousand tons compared to the 450 thousand tons of last year. He noted, that the crop quality is excellent, the clusters are in good health and must degrees are high.
