Mountain villages: grape harvest has good quality, but import will be needed from cheaper wines
This year's grape harvest has a great quality. Hungarian grapes have been so healthy as now long time ago, but from cheaper wines Hungary is expected to rely on Italian imports – Horváth Csaba, General Secretary of the National Council of Wine Communities on Wednesday at the Kossuth Radio's 180 minutes show.
Horváth Csaba told that after last year's 2.5 million hectoliters this year, the 2 million hectoliters of wine yield would be a good result, after the frost and later the drought significantly damaged the vineyards. (MTI)
