Zsolt Hegyi: MÁV Group adjusts transport schedule to the masses of passengers returning home from Lake Balaton
On Whit Monday, the MÁV group will adjust the traffic schedule and the available additional capacities to the masses of passengers returning home from the Balaton region – wrote CEO Zsolt Hegyi on his Facebook page.
According to his statement, the two relief trains, the Szitakötő and the Keresztespók InterRégió, will also run from the southern and northern shores on Whit Monday, in addition to which, around 200 buses around the lake and around 100 “reinforcement” buses covering the capital’s agglomeration will be ready to jump in all day.
At the same time, they are confident that the “deployment” of this safety reserve will not be necessary on Monday, just like on Sunday, when the trains were able to run without interruption after the barrier fault on Saturday was fixed – wrote Zsolt Hegyi.
He highlighted:
if the buses “should still be needed”, they are trying to provide an acceleration lane for MÁV Group passengers on the M7, which is also burdened with roadworks.
Their employees are in constant contact with the police, so the “reinforcement” buses can even travel in a convoy, with a police escort – the post of the CEO of MÁV Group reads.
