Auchan launches a backyard pig breeding program in the viccinity of Karcag
Backyard pig breeding may revive in Karcag and its surroundings – Fazekas Sándor, Minister for Rural Development told on Friday in Karcag, at the event, describing the backyard pig-breeding program of the Auchan Magyarország Kft..
Auchan would expand its product range with pork of pigs breeded in the Karcag region.
The minister stressed that the expertise is still available in the Nagykunság and interest in pig farming and animal husbandry buildings are still exist.
Backyard pig breeding carries a positive meaning and reminds to a time when the Hungarian agriculture was stronger than now, and it gave living or extra income to a lot of people – Fazekas Sándor added. (MTI)
