Joining quality systems helps to recognize domestic products
Participation in quality systems also brings market benefits. To support this, a call for applications has been published to help agricultural producer groups establish EU quality systems. The non-refundable support of HUF 1.6 billion contributes to meeting quality requirements and also to the costs of recognition.

Products produced within the framework of quality systems have unique characteristics linked to a geographical area or are made using a traditional production method and are recognized in accordance with European Union regulations. Participation in quality systems promotes the production of products with higher added value, which can strengthen sales and the market position of products. The aim of the call is to support the increase in the competitiveness of farms, the improvement of the position of agricultural producers in the value chain, and to strengthen cooperation between the parties participating in the quality system. The support can be used for activities related to the establishment and operation of producer cooperation, for initiating the recognition of designations of origin and geographical indications, or for the further development of the quality system. According to the call for proposals, the maximum amount of support that can be requested for these activities is HUF 30 million. Applications for support can be submitted between October 2, 2025 and May 6, 2026.
