Hungarian festivals at the forefront of Europe

The VOLT, the Balaton Sound, the Sziget Festival and the B.my.Lake were also included among the best of their category at the European Festival Awards contest.

In addition to the large festivals category, the Sziget Festival also competes in the best music lineup and the favorite festival of stars categories. The category winners to be announced on January 14 2015 in Groningen, at the FestAwards Gala – the Sziget told MTI.

As it is written, hundreds of festivals of 35 countries are taking part in the contest of the European Festival Awards. During the one month-long online voting, a record number of more than 1.2 million votes were cast, which is double the votes of last year. (MTI)
