A monthly 18 million liters of mineral water is consumed in the Tesco
Even in these cloudy days, the thermometer’s mercury can rise up to 30 ° C. In this case, the proper fluid intake has utmost importance to compensate the loss of water. In the summer months, 15 percent more mineral water is consumed in the Tesco stores than in an average month of the year, and the volume of ice cream stalls has increased tenfold.
According to Tesco’s experience, the non-carbonated mineral water is much more popular than carbonated, more than 66 million bottles of the former, nearly 46 million bottles of the latter, and 11 million bottles of mild mineral water was sold last year. In addition, flavoursome mineral waters are gaining ground: in 2016 nearly 14 million bottles were sold in the stores.
