Wolt introduces extra fees during snowfall – reported by couriers and users
Wolt has temporarily charged an extra fee for some orders citing the extreme weather – several users have confirmed that an additional cost of 399 forints was incurred during delivery.
According to the paper, the reason for the extra fee may be that the snowfall makes transportation more difficult and risky, which could pose a serious burden on bicycle couriers in particular. Significant snow has fallen in several regions in recent days, which could simultaneously increase the demand for home deliveries and slow down delivery on slippery, sometimes difficult-to-drive roads.
Pénzcentrum also writes that Wolt was contacted regarding the details of the temporary extra fee, but no substantive response was received by the time of publication of the article.
