Less wine produced in France than ever before in the last sixty years
This year less wine will be made in France than ever before in the last 60 year. In volume a 19-percent decline is expected: 36.9 million hectolitres of wine will be made (4.9 billion bottles). In the Bordeaux region 39 percent less wine is likely to be made than in 2016 (3.55 million hectolitres).
