Waberer’s net profit increased sixfold in the second quarter
Waberer’s International Nyrt. achieved sales revenue of 175.9 million euros in the second quarter, which is an increase of 1.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, its net result increased from 2.5 million euros to 15.1 million euros, the shipping company announced on Monday on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange. Based on the results of the first half of the year, the management raised the company’s earnings expectation (EBIT) from EUR 33 million to EUR 37-40 million.
According to the information, the profit before interest payments, taxes and amortization (EBIDTA) increased by 26.1 percent to 27.4 million euros in the second quarter compared to a year earlier.
In the first six months of this year, the group’s sales revenue was 352.6 million euros, 6.2 percent more than in the same period of the previous year. The net profit rose sixfold to 25.5 million euros, compared to 4.2 million euros a year earlier. In the same period, EBITDA increased by 34.2 percent to EUR 51.0 million from EUR 38.0 million a year earlier.
The raised EBIT expectations do not include the one-time positive financial impact of the out-of-court settlement with a truck manufacturing company announced in April – the announcement quoted President and CEO Zsolt Barna.
