Six times more import milk arrives to Hungary than before the EU connection
At the beginning of the year, the purchasers gave 90 HUF per liter for high-quality milk, now only 59 HUF. According to experts the purchase price was reduced because there is surplus and the chain of stores buy lower quality, but cheaper import milk.
According to Bakos Erzsébet, coordinator of Milk Marketing Board, it would be logical, if the costumers could buy on a cheaper price during oversupply periods.
According to some producers, the situation would be improved, if the commercial products are marketed and the commercial chains would also go under strict quality controls just like domestic processors. If there will not be a significant change on the milk market, most of the Hungarian producers can bankrupt in half year – reports Origo after the article of Beol.hu.
