Disadvantaged children were given bicycles
The autumn campaign of the HELL group of companies ended with success, in which the company group supported disadvantaged children with gift bicycles through a selective collection of tin cans. A total of 16 children studying at the Art School of the Igazgyöngy Foundation were able to receive the gift two-wheelers after the successful collection.
One of today’s biggest sustainability challenges is the recycling and recycling of packaging into the economy, and HELL has come up with an ingenious solution for this. Environmentally conscious waste collection was made possible by the company group in October with a very spectacular installation in public areas, when in October three busy tram stops in Budapest were converted into box collection points. As the boxes piled up in the special collectors that looked like billboards, an image of a bicycle emerged, showing exactly what purpose the thrown aluminum boxes would serve.
“We launched our campaign with a dual purpose, on the one hand, to encourage people to selectively collect litter boxes in public areas, and on the other hand, we also wanted to help. A bicycle with an aluminum frame is made from nearly 300 aluminum cans, which is why we came up with the idea of connecting consumers’ selective waste collection with donation. During the campaign, consumers collected a total of 12 aluminum boxes for bicycles, to which HELL also added, so we donated a total of 16 bicycles to the Igazgyöngy Foundation. In this way, anyone could indirectly participate in improving the quality of life of underprivileged children, we put together the rolling support together.”
– said Eszter Mihály, CSR manager of the HELL company group, at the handover of the bicycles.
