Facebook ads have no influence on young people
ArvaliCom surveyed Hungarian Facebook users for the second time. There were 834 participants in the study. The time spent on Facebook increased in all age groups, but the rise was the biggest in the population above 40. Facebook is by far the most popular website in all age groups. The majority, 76 percent use it for things they deem to be important and practical. 51 percent chat on Facebook, 24 percent use the group function and 17 percent follow their favourite pages. As for paid advertising: 53 percent of the young generation say there are too many ads. 68 percent of young users say they have never clicked on an ad when on Facebook. It is noteworthy that back in 2013 only 6 percent (all age groups) said they have never clicked on an ad but by today this ratio has climbed up to 45 percent.
