The new government regulation on tobacco packaging entered into force
The new government regulation on tobacco packaging entered into force on Saturday. Under the government decree, the new tobacco products will be marketed in an unified package, while the brands and models already on the market will receive temporary exemption until 20 May 2019.
The National Public Health and Medical Officer Service (Public Health Service) in its communication sent to MTI wrote that from 20 August, the packaging may not bear a logo or trademark. The brand names and product names may be only indicated with specified color and font. The legislation restricts or prohibits the use of any information, image or promotion. (MTI)
