The domestic ornamental plant market has plummeted
According to preliminary estimates, the loss to the ornamental plant sector will amount to about 174 billion HUF, but two measures could alleviate the damage – Orlóci László, President of the Interprofessional Organization of Hungarian Ornamental Gardeners told Világgazdaság.
Tuesday’s issue of the economic daily reports that one such subsidy is for energy carriers and the other is for subsidies for the price of propagating material. The decision of the Ministry of Agriculture on this could arrive at any moment and would help keep the work of hundreds of thousands of people. Most of them operate as family businesses – the president of the professional organization said.
