Small beer breweries suffered huge market loss
The turnover of small beer breweries decreased by four-fifth, this year compared to the datas of the previous year. In the mid 90s 340 small breweries were in Hungary, now their number is about 50-55.
According to Vaskó György president of the Association of Small Breweries the producing of home made beer shifted to the East of Hungary, after the producers of the Western regions made the mistake that they wanted to compete with the big manufacturers.
A decade ago small beer breweries supplied the half percentage of the Hungarian beer market, which is fell to one-sixth – reports Napi Gazdaság.
