The event on November 21, subtitled “The Conference on the Future of Agriculture”, was attended by several hundred professional stakeholders and received a closer look at the defining agri-tech directions and specific developments that help the sector. “Fast and targeted digitalization is one of the keys to the successful future of agriculture. The time has come for the wide public to have the opportunity to learn about the wealth of information and innovation, technological renewal and related services at the same time and space. On behalf of the chamber, I can say that the NAK TechLab program and the Agtech SUMMIT conference are extremely important events for agriculture. We are proud that we can also represent the interests of the sector in the digital space. We create an opportunity for start-ups that can introduce themselves and exchange their ideas with large companies, investors, farmers, or each other.” – emphasized Zsolt György Papp, President of the National Chamber of Agriculture. The focus of the current event was, among other things, A.I., cooperation between generations, economic transfer, the interoperability of military-industrial and agricultural innovations, the public perception of agriculture, digital tools for animal welfare, agricultural robotics, and venture capital investments. One of the main goals of the Agtech SUMMIT is to annually bring together a number of young developers and experts who can respond to the current challenges of agriculture with the most modern solutions. The solutions of the exhibiting and presenting agricultural startups and development companies cover a wide range of the sector; interested parties could also encounter solutions related to the food industry, from digital developments related to arable crop production to novelties brought to problems found in animal husbandry.
The chamber’s agricultural innovation program, NAK TechLab, has assisted in the development of more than a hundred agtech startups in the five years since its establishment
This has resulted in many practical solutions for those active in the sector. Furthermore, the program has created an agricultural innovation ecosystem that brings together large companies, young developers and agricultural professionals. As a closing event of the Agtech SUMMIT, the evening program presented developments born in the current NAK TechLab incubator program, which also put artificial intelligence at the service of increasing efficiency, which are implemented by startups and development companies in cooperation with large companies participating in the program – Bonafarm Group, Bio-Nat Kft., KITE Zrt., and Axiál Kft.
The event’s professional partner is the National Innovation Agency
István Oláh, NIÜ’s director of corporate services, said: “The key to successful participation in the global agricultural market is conscious planning. That is why we are not afraid of the agtech sector: technological solutions offer excellent answers and strengthen the growth of the sector. At the National Innovation Agency, we support all stages of the innovation life cycle so that ideas are not only realized, but also successfully compete on the global market.
