The Hungarian pharmaceutical industry represents a huge value and international competitiveness from the point of view of the country – said the Minister of Economic Development in a video message, which was played at a conference organized by the Hungarian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (MAGYOSZ) on Tuesday in Budapest.
The companies operating in the sector cover the entire vertical of the economy, from research and development to production to commercial activity, and the added value they represent is outstanding, added Márton Nagy at the event entitled The present of the domestic pharmaceutical industry – the future of its competitiveness, of which the minister was the main patron.
The minister also said that: “Hungarian doctors and researchers have been carrying the good name of our country around the world for centuries, just think of the most recent success story: the Nobel laureate Kataline Karikó.”
Márton Nagy stated that Hungary has a strong corporate background in the pharmaceutical industry, which is of enormous value in the current turbulent times and plays a prominent role in terms of self-sufficiency.
