Food prices on their six-month peak
Food prices have risen to heights have not seen for six months – shows UN’s FAO index. On the dairy market the increase was so high that is has not seen for more than two years.
The FAO food price index in September increased to 215.8 points, heights has not seen for six months. In March this level was 216 points.
However, the price increase may halt after a while, because there is a level, when consumers are cutting back the demand responding for the price increase. (portfolio.hu)
