The lowest number of smartphones was sold in this year’s first quarter in China of the past six years
In China, sales of smartphones dropped by three percent in the first quarter – according to Canalys market research firm.
In the first quarter of this year, 88 million smartphones were sold in China, three percent less than the 90.7 million of the first quarter of 2018, the lowest quarter since the first quarter of 2013.
Only one of the top five market players, Huawei, increased its sales in the first quarter of this year, by 41 percent to 29.9 million. Its market share rose to a record 34 percent from 23.4 percent in the first quarter of 2018. (MTI)
