Coffee is good for the liver
According to the analysis of the American Cancer Institute (NCI) the daily consumption of coffee, has beneficial effect on liver function.
Those chronic hepatitis C patients who drink three or more cups of coffee per day, slowed the down worsening of their disease by 53 percent, than those who do not drink coffee.
During the research, 766 patients with hepatitis C were asked to report from their coffee consumption for 3.8 years. The patients were examined in every three months, liver biopsy was performed twice on them to measure their condition changes.
According to WHO datas, an annual 3-4 million people became ill with hepatitis C. About 70 percent of their disease becomes chronic, which can lead to liver cancer – reports Pénzcentrum.hu.
