Chinese tourism to the EU has increased threefold
Chinese tourism in the European Union has tripled over the past ten years, and the number of guest nights spent by Chinese has reached nearly 25 million in 2016 – Eurostat announced on Thursday.
According to the data of the EU’s statistical office, the number of tourists to the EU from China increased more steeply than tourist arrivals from any other non-European country with a strong economy, such as from the United States, Russia or Brazil. Nearly 6 percent of guest nights spent by non-EU citizens in the EU were spent by Chinese people. (MTI)
