The number of debit cards increased trebly

Until two years the sum of debit cards in Hungary grew more than trebly. There were more than one and half million debit cards on the local marketplace, now to 20 % of all bankcards belong to appropriation.

Last year the value of shoppings paid by bankcard grew with
26%, thanks to permeation of debit cards. Nowadays 15 commercial banks offer
more than 70 plastic cards and the working conditions are day to day slighter.

The most current are the cards with shopping allowance. Clients
of a commercial bank get for example discount at hungarian and worldwide gas
stations.

There are more than one and half million debit cards on the hungarian marketplace.
