Smoked goods corresponding to the weight of three hundred elephants were sold in the stores of Tesco
Easter holiday turnover picked up the three days before Easter in the Tesco stores. In those days, the turnover of Easter products was 12 percent stronger than a year before.
From Easter ham and smoked products the chain sold more than 1,500 tonnes, from pork and poultry meat a total volume of 6000 pigs and 320,000 chickens were sold. Fresh meats showed a 40 percent growth, while the Easter candy sales showed a 155 percent increase, compared to last year.
