After three-quarters of strengthening business sentiment in Germany declined slightly
The business confidence index of the Munich-based Ifo Institute for Economic Research declined to 111.1 points in March, from the former 111.2 points of February, but it's better than the 110.5 points expected by analysts. After nine months increase the indicator decreased for the first time.
On the basis of the consultation of seven thousand German manufacturing, construction, wholesale and retail companies the assessment of the current situation has improved from 114.7 points to 115.8 points, while business expectations for the next half year dwindled to 106.5 points, from the 107.9 points of February – reports MTI.
