One in three Irish families grow their own fruit and vegetables
According to a study by SuperValu and GIY (Grow it Yourself), a third of families in Ireland grow food at home and eight out of ten would like to do the same. 88% of families who grow food at home do it in their gardens and a further 4% on their balconies. At school 55% of children have already grown food in the classroom.
