Agricultural purchasing prices increased by three percent
In July, the price of plant products decreased by 1.4 percent, while the price of livestock products grew by 10.6 percent, thus agricultural producer prices rose 3.0 percent over the same period last year, according to the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
Prices of cereals decreased by 3.9 percent. The sale of new harvested wheat began, and its price increased by 11 percent compared to July last year, while the price of corn decreased by 11 percent. The average price of vegetables rose by only 0.6 percent, while the price of potatoes decreased by 18.5 percent last July. The price of fruits was 23.0 percent higher than the year before. (MTI)
