Three records at the 28th SPAR Budapest Marathon Festival
Records have born in terms of the number of participants, marathon runners and foreign runners at the 28th SPAR Budapest Marathon Festival, that was held on Sunday. The Hungarian champion among men became Józsa Gábor, while Juhász-Staicu Simona was the fastest among the ladies.
The organizers report that a total of 21 930 runners took part at this year's tournament, well above last year’s 19 200 record. At the event 4900 marathon runners and almost 3,000 foreigners from 68 countries were competing. The organizers note in their communication, that so many people have naver participated at a leisure-sport event in Hungary before.
