Three Hungarian non-profit organizations, Burattino Primary School and High School, Children’s Home, Szikra Tehetséggondozó Egyesület and BAGázs Közhasznú Egyesület participated in the support of the Global Community Impact Grants program of the Starbucks Foundation, with which the associations can contribute to the development of young people and to the promotion of inclusion and diversity.
Burattino Primary School and High School, Children’s Home deals with socially disadvantaged children and young people. The aim of the Children’s Home with the support is to create an opportunity for disadvantaged young people to attend academic competitions, cultural events, summer camps as often as possible, as well as to participate in various talent development programs. Burattino uses the grant to support around 200 young people, including Roma children and Ukrainian refugees. They implement programs such as mentoring, skills development training and providing mental health services to the beneficiaries, which can make even more opportunities available to them in the future.
