A three-year program starts against child obesity in Hungary
A three-year program starts against child obesity in Hungary first in Dunaharaszti. The leaders of the project are the GYERE children's health program and the Hungarian Dietetic Association as the professional leader, in the scope of the world's largest network for obesity prevention the EPOD.
The world's largest network for the prevention of obesity is the EPOD, which started its operation in France in 2004. The EPOD announced the launch of a comprehensive project against childhood obesity in Europe earlier this year. In the OPEN program 11 initiatives against child obesity will get personalized support. The project is intended to reach nearly four million Europeans, including 1 million children and adolescents. The project is vital, because in Europe one in three 11-year-old children is overweighted or obese currently.
