German consumer sentiment is on its three-year peak
Thanks to the continuation of economic recovery, declining unemployment and a moderate decline in prices, the German consumer sentiment improved in September, exceeding the expectations.
According to the GfK market research institute; the October value of the German consumer sentiment index increased to 4.9 points from the 4.3 points of September. It has not been so high, since October 2007. Analysts expected 4.2 points. The economic expectations index increased to 53.5 points in September from the 46.6 points of August – reports ProfitLine.hu.
