Pálinka distilling is free for three years
Harvest was good this year from fruits that are the base materials of pálinka. The trend continues, that more and more people are distilling their mash by using the limited tax-free option.
The 550 domestic home distilleries are running at full capacity as well as the 86 commercial distilleries. It is worth to mention that the law on pálinka was changed three years ago.
The harvest of plums, apricots and pears were particularly good this year. Among the main fruits perhaps the only one, the sour cherry met less favorable weather. (by our colleague)
