Investigations for fake drinks and food products in thirty-three countries
The Interpol and Europol seized more than 1,200 tons of false or inadequate standards of food products and almost 430,000 liters of adulterated liquor in an action involving 33 countries in America, Asia and in Europe, including Hungary.
During the “Operation Opson III ” action 131 000 liters of fake oil and vinegar, more than 80,000 cakes and chocolates, 20 tonnes of spices, 186 tonnes of cereal, 45 tonnes of dairy products and 42 liters of honey were seized – Europol's website states. 96 people have been arrested or placed under investigation in several countries.
