Airport freight traffic grew by thirty percent in the first third of the year
From January to April, 56.2 thousand tons of air cargo were transported through Ferihegy Airport, about 30 percent more than in the first four months of 2020 and 2019, according to Budapest Airport’s airport bulletin, which was sent to MTI on Friday.
They highlighted that air freight traffic is projected to reach as much as 150,000 tonnes this year.
In April, Budapest Airport signed a co-operation agreement for the establishment of the Silk Road between Hungary and China, recalling that further growth in freight traffic could be expected as a result. (MTI)
