Thirty million tankards more beer will be consumed this year

A sharp increase occured in beer consumption in Hungary since the start of the European Football Championship.

The domestic brewing association expects a 3 percent increase on the beer market, because of the summer sporting events, which means that about thirty million tankards more beer will be consumed this year than in an average year – Magyar Idők wrote.
