Three cakes are competing for the Cake of the Country title

The first three winners were the császárkörtetorta (pear cake), the peach cake of Kecskemét and millet cake made with peach dressing .

Fazekas Sándor Rural Development Minister emphasized, that the millet is an old folk food in Hungary, which is now undergoing a renaissance. Well-known for its beneficial effects; many vitamins, minerals can be found in it, and those who has celiac disease can also consume it. In addition, usability is quite broad: cakes, side dishes, pies and even beer can be made from it – reports MTI
