The OPUS ENERGETIKA Group is announcing the OPUS TITÁNOK competition for the third time in 2025 in order to promote energy awareness and expand the knowledge of young people. In the three rounds of the competition, students can delve into the world of energy through exciting and creative tasks and professional programs. The winners of the competition series, both the students and their preparatory teachers and schools, will receive outstanding awards. High school students can register for the team competition by completing a quiz on the website www.opustitanok.hu until February 16, 2025.

The OPUS ENERGETIKA Group considers it important to increase the energy awareness of young people and educate high school students on the topic of energy and sustainability. One of the tools for this is the “OPUS TITÁNOK – You are the energy of the future!” competition series, which has been running for the third year in a row, testing the students’ preparedness in an exciting, creative and innovative way.

Within the framework of the competition series, students in grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 can demonstrate their knowledge of energy and sustainability. Teams consisting of three students can demonstrate their problem-solving skills and creativity over three rounds, with the support of their tutor. Teams can enter the competition from all high schools in the country. Young people who have previously participated in the competition can also apply, but they can only do so with a new team composition and a new topic.

In the first round, the students’ task is to apply for the competition by filling out a questionnaire and identify an environmental and sustainability problem in their environment. In the second round, the teams can present the identified challenge and its solution on a creative website they have created, so that they can use their scientific knowledge, critical thinking and creativity in the process. The teams that reach the finals can also illustrate all this with a self-made model, and they can participate in a two-day, exciting professional event, during which they will present their energy-related ideas to the company’s specialists.

It is worth testing the knowledge of high school students, as participation is free, the costs of the two-day professional event for the teams that reach the finals are also covered by the OPUS ENERGETIKA Group, and the best three teams, their training teachers and their schools will also receive prizes worth several hundred thousand forints.
