Frankfurter consumption increases by one-third at year-end
The hit product of New Year's Eve continues to be frankfurters. In December, more than half of all households are buying one-third more of it, a total of 80 dekagrammes – GfK’s survey shows. According to the research of Sága Foods Zrt. and Ipsos, nearly 30 thousand tons of frankfurters are purchased annually in Hungary, which is an average of 7.3 kilograms per household.
According to the communication of the GfK market research company, sent to MTI, one-fifth of the total annual frankfurter sales is concentrated for December. Last year, the December turnover could also increase, compared to the same period of 2012, while the demand for frankfurters slightly decreased on an annual basis. (MTI)
