The ALDI store on Sziget will be a third bigger this year
ALDI has been a committed supporter and partner of community sports events and festivals for many years. This year, too, at numerous sporting events and significant Hungarian festivals, participants can meet the store chain’s offerings and own-brand products, with which the company contributes to budget-friendly recreation.
ALDI made its debut at the Sziget Festival seven years ago: it set up a pop-up store specially tailored for festival-goers at one of Europe’s biggest music events, where it awaited the participants with food, fresh fruit and vegetables, and locally baked baked goods. Visitors to the festival could shop in the store at the usual low store prices. On the grill terrace set up next to the festival shop, the ALDI chefs cooked the products purchased in the store free of charge upon request. In 2017, ALDI’s offer was already presented at the VOLT Festival and Balaton Sound, and fans were also able to meet the store chain’s temporary stores at two locations of the 17th FINA World Championships. On the Children’s Island, families could get to know the structure of the stores in a playful way, and football fans were welcomed by ALDI’s food truck in the fan zone created at the Akvárium Klub during the European Football Championship in 2021.
ALDI will take part in the Hungarian festival season again this year. It awaits families on Gyereksziget between June 16 and 18, on Balaton Sound between June 28 and July 1, and on Sziget from August 9 to 15. At musical events, in the ALDI Grill Zone, visitors can enjoy grilled cheeses and a vegan menu in addition to meaty BBQ dishes, marinated meats, shashliks, grilled sausages.
