Fight for the soy market
A huge battle is emerging between major international agricultural inputs manufacturing groups for the American soy market – agrarszektor.hu wrote. The leading role of Monsanto has been seriously threatened, because BASF and DowDuPont want to cut off a larger segment of the market.
Monsanto’s leading role in the USA’s 40 billion USD soybean market may well be over. According to Reuters, the market is now open to competitors as the weeds have become increasingly resistant to one of the most popular herbicides of Monsanto.
